  1. Repairing sash windows: Sash windows usually give way after smoothly functioning for some years. The casement gives trouble when you try to open it. To solve this problem, first try to remove the stash. You also need to lubricate its hinges. Once the pane is replaced just re-glaze the window. 

  4. Correcting an awning window: First, start with checking the hinges and the screws to locate the problem area. Then, you have to remove the screen and take out the operating arms. Install the new parts of the window and make sure it’s working smooth just like before. However, it is important to note that wiping away the dirt accumulated in the joints with a damp cloth also proves effective to solve this problem.

  5. Rusted window frame: Start with brushing away the rust. You may also use a drill for the purpose. In the next step, wipe away the surface and use silicon carbide sandpaper to polish the wooden surface. Then apply epoxy filler and coarse-grit sandpaper to wrap up the job.
